His other contribution to the soundtrack, "Smuggler's Blues", hit #12 on the Hot 100. Frey also contributed the song "Flip City" to the Ghostbusters II soundtrack, and "Part of Me, Part of You" to the soundtrack for Thelma and Louise.
During his solo career he had 12 songs in the U.S. Top One Hundred. Eleven of those were written with Jack Tempchin who also wrote Peaceful Easy Feeling.
In the late 1990s, Frey founded a record company with attorney Peter Lopez called Mission Records.

Mike Francis, alias Francesco Puccioni, was born at 01:20 on April 26, 1961 in Florence, Italy. The choice of an English stage name comes from Mike’s direct contact with American culture. Right after High School, although he thought of going to university, he began writing seriously his first songs, while at the same time studying composition and arrangement. Since his first album “Let’s not talk about it”, including the hit “Survivor”, Mike carried through his activity as an author and composer with great success, other than for himself as in “Let Me In”, for other artists, in this particular case for Amii Stewart in “Friends” (already on top of both
Black American and English charts) and “Together”, where he is again author-composer. The following year, he came out with his second LP, “Features”, which shows undoubtedly his musical evolution as well as particular artistic inspiration. Among the ten songs within the album, starting with a prelude, we suggest you listen to “Features of Love” and “You can’t get out of my Heart” to better comprehend the progressive growth of his musical personality. This album includes also the hit “Together”, and the remake of two old hits “I’m not in Love” by 10 CC and “Lovely Day” by Bill Withers. “Dusty Road” is another of Mike’s great songs. A “Classics” or other greatest hits collections from Mike are also available for those who want to discover the music of this artist who specialized in a melodic and very sophisticated form of dance music.
What Can I say? Filipinos love him! Visit his official website to find out why! www.mikefrancis.it

Johnny Hates Jazz was an English pop band formed in 1986 by Clark Datchler (vocals, piano), Calvin Hayes (keyboards), and the German born Mike Nocito (bass). Named after a friend who really did hate jazz, Johnny Hates Jazz released their first single, "M
e and My Foolish Heart," on RAK Records in 1986. After searching for a major record label deal they landed one towards the end of 1986 with Virgin Records after a gig at, ironically enough, a jazz club.
The group's debut single for Virgin, "Shattered Dreams", became a big hit in 1987, reaching #5 in the UK and #2 in the U.S. charts. The group's debut album, Turn Back the Clock, also proved successful, reaching #1 on the UK albums chart. They had many more Top 20 singles in the UK from this album, such as "I Don't Want to Be a Hero" (UK #11, US #31), "Turn Back the Clock" (UK #12), and "Heart of Gold" (UK #19), which was their last hit single.
In the U.S., "Hero" was a top 40 hit on the Hot 100 and went top 20 on the AC and Dance Club Play charts, while "Clock" struck five on the Adult Contemporary chart.
The lead singer and main songwriter, Clark Datchler, left in 1988 and was replaced by the former Cure bass guitarist, Phil Thornalley. A month before the release of their second album, Tall Stories in 1992, the band was involved in a serious car accident which left keyboardist Calvin Hayes in a body cast for over a year. The band lost momentum and eventually split.
In September 2007, Calvin Hayes announced that he and Mike Nocito, with a new vocalist, Danny Saxon, would be reforming Johnny Hates Jazz. They intend to join the Here and Now Tour at Butlins, Minehead between 16-19 November 2008 for four nights. If successful, the band hopes for more dates in 2008.

John Waite (born John Charles Waite, 4 July 1952, Lancaster, Lancashire, England) is a rock singer. He was the lead vocalist for the bands The Babys and Bad English. As a solo artist, he scored a #1 hit in the United States with "Missing You" in 1984.
Waite first came to attention as the lead singer and bassist of The Babys, a British group which had moderate chart success and a solid following for their concert tours. Over the course of five years, the Babys produced five albums ending with the final album On the Edge in October 1980, after which the group broke up.
Waite subsequently launched his solo career with his 1982 debut album Ignition, which produced the hit single "Change", written by Holly Knight and later included on the Vision Quest soundtrack.
His next album, No Brakes, resulted in international attention due to the hit single "Missing You" w
hich went to No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. Two more singles followed, including "Tears" which was a Top 10 hit on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts.
The next album Mask of Smiles followed in 1985, and another single "If Anybody Had a Heart" was released from the soundtrack of the 1986 film About Last Night..., starring Demi Moore. In 1987, "Rover's Return" was released with the single "These Times Are Hard For Lovers". Waite would have another soundtrack appearance in 1990 from Days of Thunder with "Deal for Life", written by Martin Page and Bernie Taupin.
In 1988, Waite joined former Babys bandmates Jonathan Cain and Ricky Phillips along with Neal Schon from Journey and drummer Deen Castronovo, to form the supergroup Bad English. In 1989, the Bad English ballad "When I See You Smile" (penned by Diane Warren) became a number one song in the United States. Bad English would release two albums before tensions amongst the members led to the band's dissolution by 1992.
Waite returned to solo work and since 1995 has produced five solo albums including his latest album Downtown... Journey of a Heart. He still tours, including in 2003 with Ringo Starr's All Starr Band, and as an opening act for Journey in 2005.
In 2006, "Missing You" was released as a duet with Alison Krauss and reached the Top 40 on the Country Charts in the United States. Waite appeared with Krauss on the Tonight Show on February 5, 2007 to perform "Missing You."
A longtime resident of New York City, Waite currently resides in Santa Monica, California.

Christopher Cross (born Christopher Geppert on May 3, 1951) is an American singer-songwriter from San Antonio, Texas. His debut album earned him all of the "Big Four" Grammy Awards in one year, a feat that is yet to be equalled. He also received an Oscar and a Golden Globe relating to his work with music in hit films.
He is best known by most for his Top Ten hit songs, "Sailing", "Ride Like the Wind", and "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)," the latter of which he performed for the film Arthur starring Dudley Moore and Liza Minnelli. "Sailing" earned three awards at the 1981 Grammy Awards Ceremony, while "Arthur's Theme" won the for OscarBest Original Song in 1981 (with co-composers Burt Bacharach, Carole Bayer Sager and Peter Allen.) Cross first played with a San Antonio based cover band named Flash before signing a solo contract with Warner Bros. Cross released his self-titled debut album, Christopher Cross in 1979, which garnered him five Grammy Awards. He is the only artist to personally receive all of the "Big Four" Grammy Awards (Best Record, Song, Album, and New Artist) in the same year. Hits from this album included "Sailing", "Ride Like the Wind" (featuring backing vocals by Michael McDonald) and "Never Be the Same".
His second album, Another Page, which came out in 1983, included the hit songs "Think of Laura", "No Time For Talk", and "All Right." "All Right" was used by CBS Sports for its highlights montage following the 1983 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament, won in an upset by North Carolina State, which defeated the University of Houston in the championship game, 54-52. Although Another Page sold respectably, it did not nearly live up to the high expectations set by his debut album.
Cross released his third album Every Turn of the World in 1985. However, the album failed to produce any top 40 hits, and did not sell well. He went on to make three more albums in the 90's and although some of his releases have gained critical response, he has failed to catch the mass audience he once enjoyed. After his decline in fame in the mid-1980s, Cross has toured and opened for various acts since the '90s and releasing his second Greatest Hits package in 2002.
Cross completed a new Christmas album and on November 15, 2007, which was released exclusively on iTunes and is slated to be in general distribution for the 2008 season. Christopher has just finished recording a new acoustic album of his hits titled "The Carlye Sessions". He is also working on a new studio album that is expected to be released in the spring of 2009. Today, he does about 100 live performances a year.
In recent years, his daughter, Madison has become a singer and actress.
